About the Author-
  • Ana María Shua nació en Buenos Aires en 1951. Escribe desde los ocho años. A los quince ganó un concurso del Fondo Nacional de las Artes y la Faja de Honor de la SADE con su libro de poemas El sol y yo. Se recibió de profesora de Literatura en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Publicó muchos libros para adultos (novelas, cuentos y microrrelatos) y también para chicos, entre otros, La batalla entre los elefantes y los cocodrilos, La fábrica del terror, Caracol presta su casa, Miedo de noche, Mascotas inventadas y La puerta para salir del mundo. Algunas de sus obras se tradujeron a catorce idiomas y dos de sus novelas fueron llevadas al cine.
